Liquid Energy Storage Products

As energy storage power plants grow increasingly larger (often reaching hundreds of megawatts per station), battery density has significantly increased, leading to continuous heat generation during operation. If heat accumulates, it not only halves battery lifespan but also risks triggering thermal runaway. Liquid cooling systems efficiently dissipate heat through liquid media, addressing the pain points of traditional air cooling—slow cooling and large temperature differentials—making them the mainstream choice for medium-to-large-scale energy storage projects.

System Components
  • Specialized Coolant: A “heat dissipation agent” combining insulation and thermal conductivity. Mineral oil is used for single-phase systems, while fluorinated fluids are employed for two-phase systems.
  • Circulation Module: A “delivery network” comprising pumps and piping that drives coolant flow for heat exchange.
  • Heat Exchanger: Equivalent to an “outdoor unit,” transferring heat from the coolant to the external environment.
  • Intelligent Control Unit: Liquid specific heat capacity exceeds air’s by over 4 times, enabling rapid heat removal. Paired with real-time temperature sensors, it automatically adjusts flow rates and cooling modes for fast, uniform heat dissipation, extending battery lifespan. Marssoil Smart Energy’s intelligent temperature control system can even maintain cell temperature differences within 2°C, increasing battery life by 10%.

  • Enhanced Safety: To prevent thermal runaway, a separate compartment design is adopted for batteries and electrical components, combined with multi-level early warning systems such as temperature and smoke sensors. In case of any abnormalities, the cooling fluid can directly suppress fire.
